Linda Black Elk shares how everything we need to thrive mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually is all around us and that all we need to do is reestablish that reciprocal relationship with Mother Earth.

Linda Black Elk is an Indigenous ethnobotanist, food sovereignty activist, teacher and a huge source of joy and inspiration. I could not begin to summarize the importance of the work she does both for her close community and our humanity. As a professor of food sovereignty at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota she teaches passionately about culturally important plants and their uses as food, medicine and materials. She is empowering her people to relearn their traditional plant knowledge and to regain food sovereignty. As an activist, she stands strong against extractive industries and colonization that threatens our global humanity. No doubt she has inspired thousands to reconnect with Earth and to care for and protect this home that we all share together.

I have followed Linda since I first met her at the Florida Herbal Conference in 2018 and am so grateful to have spent time with her this fall at the Midwest Wild Harvest Festival and in Minneapolis. You must Follow Linda and learn from all the knowledge she shares, be empowered by her bold resistance and resilience and gain the skills to be a good relative to all plants and animals and steward of Earth!
