I am not a “social media influencer.”

Call me homeless. Call me a bum. Call me crazy or an idiot.
Of these labels I will take no issue.
But call me a “social media influencer”
and I will take it as the highest of insults.

To be labeled as a social media influencer
is to fragment and compartmentalize me,
to not see me as my whole.
Indeed I am on social media,
but that is only one form of my story.
I write.
I speak.
I activate.
I engage in person.
This takes form with written words on paper and on screens, spoken words with human beings and through the technology portal of video, through my silence and the unspoken form of my actions.
I am a full human, and your label renders me a sliver of so.

I ride a bicycle, but I am no cyclist.
I cook, but I am no chef.
I write books, but I am no author.
I teach, but I am not a teacher.

Labels are a waste of human potential, confining us to limited roles, liberation at loss.
See me for the full human I am.

Indeed, you can find me on these platforms,
but let us not give my humanity to them.
These corporations do not own my craft, my skill, nor my mind.
They are only the paper on which I write, the air in which the vibrations of my words travel, one form of manifestation of my being.
Let us not give them so much credit.
Let us not give them my power.

Indeed I play the role to influence,
to stimulate activity in your mind.
To encourage critical thought
and the questioning of societal norms.
But I am no influencer.
You are a free human.
You alone control your mind and only you can let me in.
I refuse to take the role as your influencer, social media or otherwise.
I long let go of my desire to convince or to control.
I’ll share my thoughts and you may receive them to do with as you please.
We’ll navigate this path of consciousness expansion together.

I arrived to social media already the human that I am.
And one day I will leave this realm forever,
without losing a shred of the being that I call me.

Call me what you will,
but if you love me,
please don’t call me a social media influencer.

11/4/2026 Action step to take my power back from social media:
I have removed the social media icon links on this website and my newsletter.
Sure, I desire to direct people from my social media platforms to my in depth writing and speaking here, but do I want to direct them once they are already here back to the latter?
The answer is a resounding no.
Why send people to social media when they have already arrived in the space of highest consciousness that I have created.
