Foraging with Sam Thayer and Robin Greenfield
Food is growing freely and abundantly all around us! I was fortunate to go on a foraging walk with one of the most knowledgeable foragers in the world, Sam Thayer. Much of my knowledge has come from his excellent foraging books and it was an honor to spend time with him learning new plants and hearing his perspective.
In this video, Sam and I share twenty edible plants we find in a tiny piece of land in Kentucky, plus a bunch of foraging tips. This is a great video for brand new foragers as well as experienced foragers looking for a smile and a few new tidbits of information.
Sam Thayer is an internationally recognized expert on edible wild plants. His mission is to promote responsible foraging, appreciation and conservation of Nature and sustainable food production systems.
Since this video I have spent more time with Sam and he has become a good friend. We are both from Wisconsin.
