On this Inauguration Day, I Inaugurate Myself … as the Leader of My Own Life
On this inauguration day of President Donald Trump, I am inaugurating myself … as the leader of my own life.
I declare that it not the US government that governs me. Rather than a government of any nationality, I am governed by Earth Code and a Code of Humanity.
I commit to taking full responsibility for myself and I vow to be of service to my community.
To the best of my ability I will come from a place of love and peace, not a place of hate or fear.
I will come from a place of working for what I want, not against what I don’t want.
Operating from a place of loving everyone, whether we have the same political, or whatever, beliefs.
The Earth Code I follow supersedes all national, state and local codes.
Earth Code takes into account the lives of all beings, and gives rights of life to the plants and animals we share this home with, and to the living Earth, just as we have rights as human beings.
Earth Code governs life in a manner that breaks down the illusion of separateness from each other, seeing all humans as our family.
Earth Code is not of direct written law for me, but rather of a daily critical and conscious thinking and connective way of being. It requires considerable time and effort to follow Earth Code and it requires us to see each individual and each society as unique and diverse beings and groups.
I also have chosen to take a set of vows for the next four years. For the next four years, I will:
Exist in complete transparency. I will not tell a lie. I will tell only the truth and have no secrets. There is nothing that I will hide or guard. My mind is Creative Commons.
Earn less than the federal poverty threshold annually.
Donate 100% of my media income (from books, TV shows, etc.) to nonprofits and activists that are serving the people.
Not pay federal taxes. With the combination of these two vows, I have made my own tax system to voluntarily enjoy a system that is truly designed to serve the people.
Keep my net worth and my material possessions to a bare minimum.
Practice full financial transparency.
Practice and adhere to non-sexuality and non-romance. This means I will not be taking part in romantic or sexual relationships. My time and energy are simply limited and there are other ways that are the most effective usage of my time on this Earth.

In these daunting times, I am committed to being the change I wish to see in the world, controlling what I can control, living in deep truth and integrity. I am committed to serving as a colleague and Dear Friend in service to Earth, our fellow humanity and our plant and animal relatives.
