Getting Rid of My Last Set of Business Clothes
I just parted ways with my last set of business clothes – shirt, pants, tie and shoes. I’ve been holding on to one outfit for times when I may need to impress a potential client, colleague or investor. No longer will I conform in this manner to a way of life that I don’t see fit for myself. No longer will I support a way of being that I don’t see as necessary.
As I am a businessman, there will be times when I need to look sharp, but I will do this with my own simple modest style. The person I am attempting to impress will either respect my “go my own way” attitude and self-confidence or they will reject me and I will continue on my path without them.
I will represent myself with my own human skin, my words, my actions, my smile and my positive attitude. Clothes will not create my success. My actions and my words will.
I have been slowly transforming myself into the man that I have dreamed of being and each day I progress. Each day, my self-confidence grows. More and more, I do what I know is right. More and more, I stand strong on what I believe is good for the earth, community and myself. My freedom grows. My passion grows. My ability to embrace every situation that comes my way grows.
I speak no lies and only desire to spread honest words and that is a result of accepting myself for who I am. Each day, I become a more knowledgeable and understanding man.
Life is much too short and precious to be wasting away your time doing something that is not right for you, your community, and the earth. Yet a lifetime is a long time, as is a year, a month, or even a day.
I’m fortunate that I have embraced life at a young age and I am so grateful to have many decades left to spread positivity and goodness. Decades, I’ve got decades!! I’m 27 now and I think back to what I had accomplished at 17 and 7 and feel as if I am a different human every decade. That is such a reassurance of what I can accomplish for this earth before I turn 37, 47, 57, 67, 77 and then some!
To anyone who is in despair about the time they did not take full advantage of, I say no worries, my friend. You have decades ahead of you to be who you want to be and do what you want to do. No matter where you are today, you have the choice to embrace life and start living a life that is good for you.
