Growing and Foraging 100% of my Food – Daily Food Journal

The following is a daily log of the food that I ate during my year-long project of growing and foraging 100% of my food. First, a few notes:I typically wrote the foods (or as some would say “ingredients”) that I ate in a list form, not what the meals necessarily were.
Quantities are not documented.
I generally categorized all leafy greens as just “greens.” I ate over 60 varieties of greens listed here.
I categorized many foods under herbs. This includes sea salt, peppers, turmeric, ginger, garlic and over 30 herbs listed here. This was just a method to keep the time needed for documenting the meals to a minimum.
I used filtered rainwater and sea salt in most of my cooked meals. I did not list that in this log.
Occasionally, I failed to record some foods that I ate or some whole meals because time got away from me or because I forgot. I especially forgot to list vinegar, fire cider, sauerkraut (which is loaded with herbs) and tindora cucumber (which grew right next to my kitchen). I rarely included foods that I didn’t eat, but I’m sure I made some mistakes there as well.
When I started this log I listed the individual greens and herbs more, but deleted that for the most part to create consistency through the year. Some of that may still be there though. Greens were typically always fresh, straight from the garden or foraged. For most of July, August and September I was in Wisconsin and when I list greens in the first half of that trip it is typically moringa and katuk powder but later on it becomes fresh foraged greens.
When I made Seminole pumpkin soup, I often blended the seeds with the soup and did not written pumpkin seeds in, but consider that to be substantial enough to mention.
