Live Beyond Yourself
Start living beyond yourself. Start living a life of health and happiness for the earth, your community, humankind, and you.
United States of America, there was a time when it could be all about us. There was a time when we didn’t have to worry about what was going on in the other countries around the world. That time is over. That time is long gone. The reason? We have created so many problems around the world in so many countries that we have a responsibility to fix those problems.
We have entered countries and destroyed them so that we can drive cars to work without having to think twice.
We have entered countries and destroyed their forests so that we can wipe our butts with fluffy paper and wastefully print on all the clean white paper we want.
We have entered countries to place factories in order to make our cheap goods, taking advantage of their cheap labor and their environmental resources.
Within the United States, the pollution we create spews worldwide through the water and through the air. Our daily desire for ease, convenience, and comfort in everything we do transfers our hardships and burdens onto other people and the environment.
This world is connected more than you may imagine. The havoc we wreak on the environment here is carried near and far. No part of the world remains untouched by our disdain for the natural world. We are destroying life every single day.
If you are consuming in this manner you are responsible for the pollution of the air and water around the world.
Yes, you.
You are responsible for the death of people within the United States and in countries you may not even know the name of.
Yes, you are just 1 in 7 billion people but you are either a part of the solution or a part of the problem.
