Exploring Living in Community
Robin Greenfield and Dave Booda are exploring living in community! They will be visiting intentional communities in Northern California to learn about living in community and to share community wisdom and experience as a remedy for the disconnection and separateness that so many feel today in modern society.
They will visit people living in community in urban, suburban and rural settings including a larger intentional community, co-housing and intergenerational family living. From people embracing a radically different way of living to more “mainstream US American,” Robin and Dave will share examples to introduce people who are interested in communal living to a range of possibilities for how we can live together.
Their intentions for the tour are:
- Learn from intentional communities and people living in community
- Share the wisdom and experience of the people and communities they visit to educate and inspire those who are interested in living in community
- Support the communities that they visit
- Support the movement for intentional communities and help the movement to grow
- Spread joy through their visits
During this community tour they will produce videos and share educational resources as a grounded gateway into living in community.
Robin Greenfield believes that all true solutions to our destructive, exploitative ways as a society must be rooted in community.
Dave Booda is on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Intentional Community. He is an advocate for cooperative living and is passionate about sharing how we can both live in community and live with a better sense of community in our lives.
